Community Resources

With the loss of funding to many programs, and the shutdown impact to SNAP, we've put together the following list of resources to encourage donations and volunteering within our community. This year, more than half a million Central Texans will face food insecurity.

Supporting Immigrants

Indivisible 1431 is urging local jurisdictions to adopt humane-treatment resolutions, like those passed by the City of Austin, and Hays and Travis Counties. These resolutions affirm that all residents have a right to be treated like human beings, regardless of immigration status. Our goal is to persuade Williamson County and the cities along and around the FM 1431 corridor to pass similar resolutions. The resolution effort is supported in Cedar Park by Community Action for Racial Equity Cedar Park.Check out our model resolution here.Take Action: For our proposals to have impact before the governing bodies, we need the community behind us. To show the people’s representatives that their constituents care, we have launched a petition drive for the resolution.Sign the petition, and send it to a friend!

Setting the Record Straight About Immigrants

As Americans, I think we can all agree that immigrants in our country should follow US laws. We also agree that those who commit serious crimes should not be allowed to remain at large. Imprisonment or deportation of these individuals to their home countries is supported by almost all Americans as well.Continue Reading on Truthify ->

No Other Land - Special Screening

We are excited to present a special screening of No Other Land, a powerful documentary bearing witness to the ongoing displacement of Palestinians in the West Bank. But we need your help.To ensure that 100% of ticket proceeds from this screening go directly to humanitarian organizations like World Central Kitchen, we’re asking for your support to help offset the upfront costs of presenting the film. Your contribution—$10, $20, or any amount—will go toward the screening venue and promotional expenses. Every dollar we raise for those costs allows us to send more aid where it’s needed most.
About No Other Land
This incredible documentary is the result of a unique and courageous collaboration between two activists—Basel Adra, a Palestinian journalist and activist from Masafer Yatta, and Yuval Abraham, an Israeli journalist and filmmaker. Together, they captured years of demolitions, evictions, and resilience in a land under siege.Despite international acclaim, the film is not being widely distributed in the United States—possibly due to its unflinching portrayal of Israeli military policies and settler violence. This is a rare opportunity to experience a film that challenges, inspires, and speaks to our core values of justice and human dignity. Why It MattersBy covering the screening costs now, we ensure that every ticket sold becomes a donation to relief efforts—amplifying our impact and honoring the film’s spirit of solidarity. Organizations like World Central Kitchen are on the ground providing food and aid in conflict zones, including Gaza. Please chip in today to help us bring No Other Land to our community—and let’s show what grassroots power can do when compassion leads the way.
