“Our Community, Our Future” seeks to connect working families in our community with practical information and resources on issues that matter most to everyday people — including food assistance, health care access, immigration rights, and how to take action on the issues affecting our lives. There will be fun for kids of all ages, and activities to build our community.
We will provide free sandwiches, chips, cookies, and water to attendees (while supplies last). Pets (leashed!) are welcome!
"Our Community, Our Future" will be held from 11 am - 2 pm Saturday, June 13, at Veterans Memorial Park on New Hope Drive in Cedar Park, TX.
The event is sponsored by Indivisible 1431.
Indivisible 1431 is pleased to announce that Lone Star Circle of Care and Texas Alliance for Retired Americans (TARA) are joining Our Community, Our Future on June 13 in Cedar Park’s Veterans Memorial Park.
TARA’s mission is to ensure civil rights for retirees and older Americans by educating and mobilizing members to elect leaders committed to social and economic justice Texas AFL-CIO.
Lone Star Circle of Care prides itself on providing exceptional and accessible patient-centered healthcare for our Texas neighbors. In 2001, Lone Star Circle of Care (LSCC) was founded on the promise of bringing quality, affordable healthcare to all. Caring for our Texas neighbors, regardless of income or coverage status, takes significant resources. Addressing the social constructs that affect health, those that must be treated outside the exam room, do as well.
Indivisible 1431 is a local Indivisible group serving the FM1431 corridor. This spans from Lake Travis, North Shore in the west to Taylor in the east, and includes Jonestown, Leander, Cedar Park, Round Rock, Georgetown, Hutto, Pflugerville, and any community thereabouts! We are dedicated to resisting fascism, protecting endangered populations, and building a consensus to return the USA to a sane course.
